Abstract

Continuation of political participation of young people is one of the most important issues in the political system. It seems that one of the factors influencing political participation of young people, their political culture, many factors have an impact on the political culture of youth Social media is one of the most important. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to study the relationship between domestic and foreign mass media and political culture of youth. This study uses the theories of Almond and Giddens, as a survey with a sample size of 424 patients in the 18 to 33 year of 1391 was conducted in the metropolitan Tabriz. Sampling, a multistage cluster sampling. These results indicate that the variables of local television, local radio, Newspapers and magazines domestic political sentiments, political beliefs and political values, there was a significant positive correlation But the amount of foreign media (satellite, Internet and virtual social networks) and the components of the political culture there is a negative relationship The media, the political culture affect political sentiments use
